About Eddie Catz

Eddie Catz was founded by two London parents Maria and Darren Johnson. When they had the idea for Eddie Catz they had two children under the age of five and saw the need for an upmarket play facility. They wanted a space that was more than just a play centre, a place where children could have an enriching experience by playing and learning in a safe and clean environment whilst a parent could have some respite in the form of a grown-up space to chill out, read the newspaper, surf the net, have a meal or join a class with their child. They also wanted a place where you could have a stress free birthday party that wouldn't break the bank and where children could enjoy a healthy meal. They couldn't find anything, so they decided to create one themselves, and so with the huge support of their two helpful kids, extended family, friends and a caring bank that believed in them, they left their proper jobs and opened their first Eddie Catz on Putney High Street in April 2005.

Five years and two more playcentres on, Eddie Catz is still run by the team it started with – just all a bit more grown up!

It continues to be a forerunner in the industry with its uniqueness and excellence in customer service. It also prides itself on partnering with top pre-school class providers and entertainers and now hosts a full curriculum of enrichment and "mother-and-me" classes as well as holiday activities for children 0-10 and will grow - slowly but surely - opening further centres and franchises in the future.

If your children, nieces, nephews or grandchildren are looking for a fun place to play or have a birthday party, check out what our Eddie Catz centres have to offer and pay us a visit. We look forward to welcoming you to Eddie Catz!
